My name is Christina Konkel and I am a program director for the Northern California Procurement Technical Assistance Center. I'm just going to speak briefly about the services of the PTAC and the SBDC programs before our procurement specialist, Christina Joan, begins her presentation. The Norcal PTAC is a program of the Norcal SBDC. The PTAC and the SBDC are both federally funded and hosted by Humboldt State University Sponsored Programs Foundation up in Arcadia, California. The Norcal PTAC is funded to provide one-on-one counseling services on procurement topics to businesses in Bell nort Humboldt, Mendocino, Shasta, the ski you Solano, and Trinity counties, as shown in the map on your left in green. These county restrictions are determined by the federal definitions of economically distressed counties. There are about a hundred other PTACs across the US. The Norcal SBDC is shown here on the map to the right in red, along with the other SBDCs in California. SBDCs provide one-on-one counseling services on more general business topics. Their service area slightly overlaps the PTAC service area, from the Oregon border in Bell Nort County all the way down the coast to the Bay Area and down to Santa Cruz County. So, the Norcal PTAC provides three core services, all of which are free to clients within the PTAC service area. The first is one-on-one counseling.
